K. Gleason, CEO/Chairman, Gleason Financial
As a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and the Harvard Business School's OPM program, Chris brings a lot to the table. "The Harvard Business School changed my life" Chris remarked recently. "The professors were world-class, but so were my classmates. I learned as much from them as I learned form my various courses of study".
A firm believer in continuing education, Chris returns to Harvard every three or four years to continue his studies in sales and marketing. He is also enrolled at Indiana University of Pennsylvania's (IUP) Masters in History program to pursue his life long interest in history. "being back on a college campus keeps me tuned up" states Chris.
Today, Chris serves as the CEO/Chairman of Gleason Financial, a company he founded in 1988. "Employee benefits, financial planning, investments and capital formation are all important needs for our clients. Providing these services increases the opportunities for all the Gleason companies," states Gleason.
Transportation issues have always been important to Chris. He has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the NMCAC, CSTAC, the PA Aviation advisory Committee, Greater Pittsburgh International Airport Task Force and the Cambria County Airport Authority. Chris was one of thirteen individuals-all experts in various transportation fields-appointed to the Amtrak Advisory Group by Congress' House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Chris oversaw Amtrak's compliance with the Amtrak Reform & Accountability Act of 1997.
In addition, Chris served as the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (CASA) from 1990-1994 and currently sits on the Board of the AHEC. In 1990-94 he served as the Chairman of the Keystone State Insurance Company, a captive insurer domiciled in Bermuda. Currently he sits on the Board of the CEBE.
Auto Racing is and has been Chris' passion.
